I got some prices from local builders and just couldn't afford the price. I decided to bite the bullet and build it myself with a little help from beer buddies.
I checked with local lumber yards and got prices for different sizes. I decided on a pole barn because I can build it now and pour the slab later when I have the bucks. It looks pretty easy but since its the first time for me I am hoping my mistakes are little ones, not biggies.
After getting quotes online and talking to everybody I decided to go with a 24' wide building since the trusses don't weigh much and I need to keep my cost down on my pole barn. Since I am paying storage elsewhere I figure this should pay itself off over time assuming I don't break the bank with the initial costs.
this is the final layout I decided on and I got it at APB Pole Barns at http://www.apbbuildings.com. I worked with them on sizes and cost for different options and decided I wanted a white roof and sides with shiny black trim.
The bottom of the siding is called wainscot and its a cheap addon. You pay for a piece of trim that separates the white siding from the black and thats about it. They gave me a price of $5,412 delivered. I found cheaper but I worked with this guy the best and he promised I would like the material I get.
I get my delivery in 2 or 3 weeks and will put more up as I go.
